We love hamburgers – problem is, we live in Phoenix and grilling outside in 111 degree weather is the LAST thing anyone wants to do after a long day of work! I solved that problem by making Oven Baked Sliders!
Crazy, I know…I doubted the recipe too…but it is the perfect meal for us since we don’t have to fire up the BBQ on a hot weeknight to get a delicious meal!
To make these oven baked sliders there are really only a few steps:
Mix 1/4 cup onions, 1 lb. hamburger and add seasonings to taste (I used Lawry’s) {double for more than 3 people}
press the mixture into a 9X12 oven pan and poke fork holes in the mixture. If your meat doesn’t fill the pan, it’s ok! Just pat it down and form the edges nicely so the meat will cook evenly.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes. The timing depends on how you like your meat cookies!
Once done, drain off the grease {I even patted the top with a paper towel} and lay your cheese slices on the top of the meat.
Put back into the oven for just a few minutes to let the cheese melt.
Cut the burgers to the size of your buns {I used King’s Hawaiian rolls}, and you’re done!
Simple Oven Baked Sliders are perfect for any occasion!
Oh, Yum. These would be perfect for hubby and myself. I’m thinking pizza burgers here. Once the hamburger is finished baking, top with pepperoni slices and then top it off with slice or 2 of mozzarella cheese; spread your buns with pizza sauce and top it off with your little slider pizza burger.
Thanks for sharing the recipe as well as your inspiration
Forgot to ask. What lean content was your beef?
Thank you
I don’t remember, but I usually buy 93/7. If you have too much grease you can drain it before adding the cheese!
Yum, love these!!! Love how easy these are!
Right??!?!? I’m ALL about easy!
