Ingredients
- 1 large green apple
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- granola or ice cream (optional)
Instructions
- Dice a green apple into small, bite-sized pieces and place them in a microwave-safe bowl or mug.
- Add approximately 2 tablespoons of diced butter to the apples. Don’t fret if the bowl or mug seems full initially, as the apples will reduce in size during cooking.
- You can add cinnamon and sugar at this stage, or after the apples are cooked.
- Microwave the mixture for around 2 minutes. Adjust the time based on your microwave’s power; for high-powered microwaves like mine, 1 1/2 minutes works perfectly.
- Let the apples cool for a couple minutes before removing from the microwave.
- Once cooked, give it a good stir and finish it off with a topping of granola or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
